Structure
This competition aims to give up and coming designers a chance to learn from some of the best established designers in the Habbo project runway community. As such, this competition is structured to try and equal out the playing field.

For the first 5 tasks, Established designers will have an earlier deadline and their submissions will be available to view prior to the deadline for up and coming designers. Why? So that the newer players can see what they are up against and use it to inspire or light a fire to surpass their competitors!
Day 1: Latest task is posted for all designers
Day 5: Established designers MUST have their designs submitted and they will be published on the site without feedback.
Day 7: Up and coming designers MUST have their designs submitted.
Day 8:* All designs are published to the website with feedback added.
Designer(s) are eliminated. New task is posted for the next round.
*The one day turnaround for marking and the new task is the gold standard, but sometimes things come up!

From task 6 onwards, all designers will have the same extended deadline.
Please note, I will not be accepting late submissions this year - there is a countdown available on every page so being unsure of different timezones are not an excuse to submit late.

There are a total of 11 tasks inclusive of the finals.

Scoring
Ranks will be determined when based on three key elements in the design:
-
How well the outfit meets the design brief
-
Originality/innovation
-
How well the 'outfit' translates as something that is wearable
(this does not necessarily mean commercial, but I don't want to see something I couldn't imagine wearing).

All hosts will have equal weight when scoring. These scores from each category will then be aggregated and determine the ranks of each round.
This year, we have eliminated the confidence score, however once you have told me you are submitting officially, any changes to this will result in a loss of
1 point per change of mind.

Feedback
Tim Gunn style advice is on offer for all participants, however there are limitations to how often you can capitalise on this. All designers may ask for one round of feedback up to three times. This means you could ask for feedback on the one task three times, or feedback across three seperate tasks. How and when you choose to utilise this is up to you. Additionally, up and coming designers will receive feedback during the first three tasks for free. While traditionally feedback is showcasing one look and asking for comments on where it is heading, feedback may also be asking me to choose one outfit out of multiple designs if you desire.
Although you can only ask for three rounds of feedback prior to submission, that doesn't mean you will get nothing overall - reading your critiques is a great way to figure out where you should be heading for future tasks, so don't skip out on going through this!

Rules
-
You may use official Habbo or retro-clothing for your designs.
Imagers are also welcome. I'm more focused on what you do to innovate with the items at your disposal than whether it's a hot new item or not.
Examples of websites you can use include (but are not limited to):• Habbo.com
• Habboquests.co advanced imager (official fansite)
• fresh-hotel.org (wide range and all items come equipped)
• ironhotel.org (site is in poruguese and you need to equip their wide
range of items, but thy have an imager for poses after you have saved
your look in the hotel)
• habboon.pw
• habbox.fr (has a wide range of items, but they need to be equipped)
The hosts are not liable responsible or liable for any negative repercussions should you choose to use a retro.
If you choose to take this route, we strongly recommend using an alternate email and password to what you use for your official Habbo account.
-
Furni, effects, photoshop and similar editing is strictly forbidden. This is to give everyone an equal playing field. You are still welcome to make the edits within the task as required, however anything beyond what is laid out will not be accepted. We may ask for further details/proof of the design structure at our discretion.
-
All designers have the right to ask for one round of feedback
up to three times.
-
Change of mind to outfits after you have communicated with the hosts that your submission is finalised will come with a 1 point penalty per adjustment.
-
If you fail to submit a design before the deadline, you will be disqualified.* *Exemptions for exceptional circumstances may be awarded at our discretion.
-
In all cases, the decision of the judges is final. While we try our best to judge fairly and acknowledge our prejudice prior to judging, there is always a chance that our unconscious bias will have an impact.
-
The winner of the Project Runway season will be chosen based off who creates the best collection, not whoever has the best track record. In very rare cases in which two designers have performed equally bad in a challenge, their track records might be the deciding factor regarding who is eliminated.
-
Remember, at the end of the day, this game is to learn and have fun!
Don't stress out too much!
