We have reached the semi finals! Let me just share a huge congratulations for all of you who have made it this far in the competition. We are however, at the pointy end of the competition, where we are looking to test and see if you have what it takes to make the finals. The pressure is higher because not only is it a double elimination, but you will be required to design two looks. Now is not the time to be playing it safe. We want to know why you deserve to make it through to the next round. Make us proud.

FIRST LOOK

We have had to farewell 11 designers to date, and we want you to choose an outfit from an eliminated designer and improve it. The outfit you choose to improve does not need to be a bottom placing design, it can be anything from their collection of works. We need to be able to see the clear visual connection to the first outfit and it must take into consideration the theme that was assigned for the week you took the outfit from, however you are free to modify clothing choices/colours. For inspiration, look at the designerology page.

SECOND LOOK

With 9 outstanding panels to date, we have seen a number of stunning outfits from other contestants. Your second look must pick an outfit that had the top score for a week and design a second outfit to go alongside it as a mini two piece collection. This outfit will show us how you work with creating looks that work together, in preparation for the finals collection task. It is important that the looks don't outshine each other, while still having a distinct design that matches the first outfit without mirroring it exactly.

Tied top scores but second placing outfits will be accepted. You may not choose any of your own top scoring outfits. You may choose to consider the theme of the task you chose your look from, but you do not have to do this if you do not wish (for example, if you are creating a collection for the mirror task, you can choose whether or not you want to mirror your second outfit). Multiple designers are able to choose the same top placing outfit.

For inspiration, look at the designerology page.

If your looks need mockup editing from Elysse as they take into consideration a theme which requires photoshopping, you must submit your mockup requests at least 24 hours prior to the deadline if you would like a preview of the designs.
